The work of an intimacy coordinator is similar to the work of a stunt coordinator-facilitating clear communication between all parties to prioritize safety while also working with production to realize the creative vision - ultimately creating scenes that are authentic and believable.

This role strives to answer the call to the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement to be an advocate and an ally for both cast and crew on set.

  • Act as a liaison between actors, directors and producers to assure that scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, or any other forms of intimacy run smoothly and safely

  • Coordinate with on-set Covid-19 officers to ensure that scenes of intimacy are conducted in compliance with safety protocols

  • Assist with movement coaching and choreography as requested by Director

  • Adhere to proper protocols to ensure safety and sexual health of actors including closed sets, modesty garments, and SAG-AFTRA nudity guidelines are followed

  • Serve as an advocate and ally for LGBTQIA+ cast members

  • Coordinate with costume, makeup and wardrobe departments for pre-production and shoot day
